How to use 2 stamp sets to create 2 Floral cards – Joy Clair.

Welcome to today’s blog post filled with inspiration using 2 stamp sets from Joy Clair to create 2 different cards perfect for Spring and Summer flowers.

card2

I used the following stamp sets to create these cards.

card_main3

I used the small flower cluster from the Martha’s Flowers stamp set and stamped it repeatedly on white cardstock and used Tombow markers to add colour to the flowers.
The leaves are from The Reckless Love stamp set.

The sentiment was stamped onto a round piece of cardstock, and then the flowers arranged around the circle to create a wreath.

For my second card I created a background using some stencils. On top of the card I added stamped and coloured flowers, that sit on top of a stem that was stamped repeatedly using a sentiment from the Whale Hello stamp set.
The one flowers was adhered flat and the top one was raised using foam tape for dimension.

card1

The smaller flowers were cut from the center of the bigger flowers and arrange across the background.
At the bottom of the card a stamped sentiment raise on foam tape adds more dimension.

How to combine stamps to make a card and tag set with Joy Clair.

I love versatility and when it comes to stamps, combining the different sets from Joy Clair together is effortless. I combined these 2 sets together for my card and tag

God’s Promises and Rise and Shine

20190229_main1JN
For my card I used God’s Promises and Rise and Shine stamp sets together. I started off by stamping the sun from the Rise and Sine set first repeatedly in yellow ink. I then stenciled my sunshine stencil over the top edge of the card using the same yellow inks. Stamped the sentiment in black VersaFine Clair ink below the sun rising, and then added the small sun from God’s Promises stamps set. I stamped the small sun onto white cardstock, blended over it to add colour and then cut it out. It was raise using foam tape and the center of the sun glazed with dimensional glaze. All of these yellow suns are sure to bring some sunshine into someone’s day with this quick and easy card.

detail2
I also created this tag using the Rise and Shine stamp set. I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap piece of white cardstock and inked the edges around the side only using yellow ink. Some torn experimental pieces of paper using spray inks were sewn at the bottom of the tag in layers. I used the rooster image stamped and painted for another project, but it turns out that I didn’t use it and so the head was chopped off and recycled for this tag. I like how the rooster looks like he is shouting the sentiment from the rooftops.

Remember to add some diamante and embellishments to further dress up your tag and add interest.

Feeling Lucky with Joy Clair Stamps.

On the Joy Clair blog today we are hopping along with this Lucky Charm stamp set creating tons of amazing projects to get you inspired.
I fell in love with this little guy the moment I saw him. I created this quick card using green which is not my favorite colour but I love how he turned out.
We used the Lucky Charm stamp set to create with.

The background was done using H2O’s that I mixed onto a plastic packet and stamped onto my white card front. I left it to dry naturally to create those interesting lines.

The rainbow was stamped onto white cardstock and coloured using metallic pens from Kaisercraft. I love the shimmer these pens add.

20190301luckycharm_detail2

The sentiment was raise using foam tape strips – and what an amazing sentiment this is – I can see myself using it lots in the future.

20190301luckycharm_detail5

This little guy was coloured using watercolour paint and the gold in the buckles added using my gold gel pen.

I love how this card came together using some of my favorite products and now one of my favorite new stamp sets from Joy Clair.

Le Petit Jardin Quick and Easy Cards

Thanks for joining me on the Couture Creations Blog today. Today I am showing you how I recycle all those foiled left-over pieces that are just so amazing.
I simply can’t bare throwing away all those beautiful foil left-overs away after creating foiled elements. So I always have a plan to use them and turn them into quick cards.
Take a look how I use those pieces together with the Le Petit Jardin range to create my quick and easy cards.

card2

detail3
step 1 – I can’t bare to throw away my left-over pieces once I have filed elements to use. So as a typical crafter and maybe a bit of a hoarder I keep them and use them.

step1

Step 2 – Adhere these pieces onto smooth white cardstock using a glue stick. Cover the area on your cardstock using glue, and then place the foiled piece onto the glued area and smooth it out with your palm.
step2Step 3 – Trim the cardstock piece to size and then add embossing using an embossing folder and your Go Cut and Emboss machine.
TIP: I like adding the embossing for 2 reasons. It adds interest, but it also forces the foil even tighter onto the cardstock ensuring it won’t come loose ever.
step3
step 4 – Stamp a sentiment onto the front of your folded card in black ink.
step4
step 5 – Matt the foiled and embossed piece onto some patterned paper scraps.
step5
step 6 – Cut out some extra foiled flowers and adhere them to the top of the foiled background piece.
step6
step 7 – Adhere the foiled piece to the card above the sentiment.
step7Finish off your card with some paint splats and diamante.
And in a few easy steps you have recycled some of your foiled left-overs and created a gorgeous set of cards.
