Make a rainbow coloured décor piece using flowers

With Spring looming and the days starting to warm up what better way than to celebrate with a rainbow of spring flowers décor block. Just a fun way of creating something meaningful, bright and happy.

I love how these All-Purpose Inks make colouring your mixed media projects so easy.
I used a selection of colours to create a rainbow effect colouring the gorgeous little birdie flowers.
I added a cute little handle on top of the wooden block – so it can be hung, but also just be purely decorative.
And did you spot the amazing stenciled effect on the background – using Little Birdie Mixed Media Paste and a Celebr8 stencil. The chipboard swirls are also from the Celebr8 range – and look how amazing they look. This is just the end result of letting the ink run into the chipboard and doing its thing naturally.
Until next time – time to get colourful and use that stash to add some colour into your life!

Stamping and Colouring

How gorgeous is the new stamp set from Little Birdie? I simply had to colour the images as soon as I got hold of it. It calls for creating a stained-glass window card, but in the meantime, a good colouring session with some of my favourite watercolour markers did the trick.

Stamp the image onto white cardstock. I used my smooth AC white cardstock using Black VersaFine Clair ink. Then use your markers to add colour to the image.
I did add some watercolour splats once the image was totally coloured, just because she called for some magical fairy dust floating about.
And now I need to add some glitter to her, some dimensional glaze and turn her into a stunning card or use her on a layout.

Little Birdie Flowers Home Décor Piece

I found the perfect way to showcase beautiful Little Birdie flowers and this stunning paper range from Celebr8.
The gorgeous shades of purple in the paper was the inspiration behind using the strong Little Birdie Purple Passion flowers and I love how it turned out!floral circle

How to create gold foil accents using your stencils

If you haven’t gotten your hands on the TCW Tacky when dry gel medium then you are missing out.
This amazing product can be used with your stencils to create amazing foiled effects.

For this layout I used my Hello Sunshine stencil and my Louann stencil for the dots.
I used the tacky when dry gel applied through the stencils and left to dry for about 30minutes.
Then used my Couture Creations Hot foil, place the foil on top of the gel, burnish with my bone folder and then carefully remove the foil to reveal the foiled stenciled images.TellTheBeesJN_SinglePage

This range of papers come with gorgeous stamps as well.

Inked Mixed Media Heart.

Everybody loves the look of Mixed Media projects. The trouble is that not many people know how to approach it, where to start or what to use.
And for others, it is what to do with the projects once you have created them. Let’s face it, we all only have so much space where we can display stuff.JN_NewYear_heart

In this series of inked and Mixed Media projects, I am showing you how easy it is to create these amazing projects without getting impatient or despondent, but also some ideas on displays and what to do with these creations.

This heart has been around for years and has also had many different jackets. Yes! That’s right I recycle my Mixed Media projects. I change them up every couple of years and even move them around the house to a different location, or even give them away. Simply by changing them up – they look totally different.
Hop on over to The Wholesaler blog to see how I created this heart using the range of Little Birdie Mixed Media Products.
