Create beautiful shimmering stamped images and chipboard elements in a few easy steps using a selection of your favourite ink pads. Combine and layer inks for beautiful life-like effects with loads of character and interesting details and effects.
This layout is one my favorites featured in the latest Scrap Affairs Magazine here in South Africa.
It features my Chardon range of patterned papers with a stamp I designed as well using the gorgeous Brilliance and Versamagic Dew Drop Inks pads from Tsukineko.

I created loads of beautifully stamped leaves using a stamp I designed and made by Celebr8 in South Africa.
Ink a leaf stamp using your Oasis Green Versamagic ink pad. Lightly mist the inked stamp with water and stamp the image onto technique cardstock. Clean your stamp with your stamp shammy.
Ink your stamp only partially with Versamagic Turquoise Gem. Mist the inked stamp with water. Position the stamp over the original stamped image and stamp.
TIP: Don’t stress if the stamp is not lined up perfectly this just adds to the watercolour look and perfectly imperfect feel of the image.
Ink your cleaned stamp with Versamagic Night Sky only in selected areas, mist with water and stamp over the first two layers. You now have a beautifully stamped multi-coloured and dimensional leaf image.
TIP: Repeat the first step stamping your image using Versamagic Oasis Green. Always stamp the lightest colour first and then layer your darker colours on top. Darker colours are easier to layer onto lighter colours than what it is to layer light colours onto dark.
Stamp your image again only partially using Brilliance Pearlescent Poppy. Ink the cleaned stamp only partially using the Brilliance ink. Mist with water and then stamp the image. The Brilliance ink gives the pigment ink below a beautiful shimmering effect.
Finish off your stamped images with another layer of partially stamped Versamagic Night Sky.
Cut out your stamped leaves and ink the edges as desired.
With a few easy steps and changes of ink colours and layers you can create a beautiful variety of stamped elements for cards and layouts.
Create a beautiful shimmering layered chipboard wreath
Use your Versamagic Oasis Green and ink the chipboard element using the direct to paper technique. Lightly pat the ink pad onto the chipboard repeatedly until it is covered in a solid layer of ink
Add a layer of Versamagic Turquoise Gem on top of the first layer of ink.
Add a layer of Versamagic Night Sky ink here and there. Notice how I only lightly inked the edges using this darker shade of ink.
TIP: Leave the layers of ink to dry a bit in between inking. If the ink is too wet and you add another colour you may contaminate your ink pad with the previous colour. You can heat set the ink layers for a few seconds just to dry them slightly.
Add some red highlights by using your Brilliance Pearlescent Poppy ink pad and inking the outside edges.
Add a few drops of Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick directly onto your inked chipboard element. Mist the ink drops with water and let the ink flow and bleed all over the chipboard. Leave to dry or heat set using your heat gun.
Paint a thin layer of All-Purpose Champagne Mist over the entire chipboard element. This layer will not only make the coloured chipboard shine and shimmer, but it will blend all the colours beautifully and seamlessly together for a stunning well inked effect.
