and although this range is more for the Australian Market and those who have traveled down under, I can still see myself creating a multitude of beautiful traveling layouts using photos from South Africa.
A truly versatile range perfect for nature, camping and just hitting the open road.

Kaisercraft Metal Plate Embossing Folder – Jowilna’s Favourite Things

posted in: Cards, Stamps, Techniques | 0

One of my favourite things is embossing – blind embossing specifically with embossing folders. I think mostly because of the ease of doing that type of embossing and the amazing effects one can achieve. Lately, my favourite embossing folder is this Kaisercraft metal plate. Today I am dressing it up using my StazOn inks for a gorgeous metallic look.

Step 1 – Adhere some metal tape to a piece of scrap cardstock.
step1
step 2 – Place the cardstock piece inside the embossing folder and roll through your embossing machine.
step2
step 3 – To add colour, lightly swipe your ink pads across the embossed surface. Start with black StazOn and leave it to dry. Then add a layer of orange StazOn ink and blend it using a soft cloth. Leave the ink to dry and then add Brown StazOn ink to finish it off. Add another layer of grey StazOn ink to define the embossed details.
step3
Stamp a sentiment onto white cardstock and adhere it to the front of your embossed panel. Adhere to a folded card and finish off with diamante.

Have you seen the huge selection of embossing folders from Kaisercraft available through The Wholesaler?
Amazing how a few ink strokes can change the look of embossing and create something truly unique.

Kaisercraft Factory 42 Layout – Dubble page

posted in: Layouts | 0

Its been a while since I have blogged, for various reasons, one of them being technology. It has been a trying time getting computers fixed, built, and new for the next ten years.
And I am happy to say and confidently, and full of faith that all is well in the land of technology now.

Today I am sharing this page using the Kaisercraft Factory 42 range. I love everything about this range and can’t wait to get stuck into it some more to create some beautiful layouts.
This one was a special layout and perfect for a father’s day gift in a frame.2017-08-16 Double page fathersday layout_JN

I used a combination if inks to colour loads of cogs and gears for this layout. On top of them I added a collection of buttons, washers, brads and diamante.

The nice thing about this grouping of elements is that I could use old and new elements from my stash to complete the layout – getting rid of years of accumulated embellishments  is such a win!
