Mixing it up, Lady Pattern Paper and Kaisercraft

Mixing it up again this time around and still very much in love with the Kaisercraft Magenta paper range for its pretty flowers, and Lady Pattern Paper for its basic essentials paper that works with anything.

A spunky layout filled with personality, colour and charm yet grounded – just like my beautiful niece. This is a fun layout, with all the elements that I love thrown together.
I started by adding some colour to my background paper used.
Mix tuxedo black and Paris Dusk Memento ink on a plastic packet. Then mist the ink with water until it forms coloured drops. Lift the packet and stamp the colour onto the background. Make sure some colour will be visible from behind your photo and elements. Leave to dry.
Adhere the patterned background to a sheet of cardstock to firm it up
Adhere the pink card cut from the bonus sheet from the Essentials V3 pack. Then adhere your photo, followed by the tag, flowers and other elements
Finish off your layout with some embellishments, brads and ink splats.
A quick and colourful layout perfect for any occasion, young and old. Just have fun with it – and don’t forget to mix those gorgeous paper ranges together for a unique look

How to create Rinea foiled accents on a layout

Create amazing elements for your scrapbook layout using the range of Rinea foils, Memento inks, and a layered stencil set. Combined with inked backgrounds you can create a feast of color and shine.
Step 1
Blend Toffee Crunch Memento ink through the first layer of a stencil set onto smooth white cardstock.
Step 2
Then blend Peanut Brittle Memento Luxe through the second layer of the stencil to bring out some more of the details.
Step 4
Remove the stencil to reveal the blended background. And repeat with different color hues to create more variety. I repeated this process with pink.
Step 5
Die-cut the stenciled background using a die-cut machine or hand-cut some letters.
Step 6
Back a sheet of Rinea foil with double-sided tape. Then die-cut some leaves out of the foil.
Step 7
Assemble your layout by adhering the die-cut letters, then add your photo. Create a cluster using your foil leaves and cut out elements.

Gentleman’s Emporium Single Page

I had some time to create with the Gentleman’s Emporium so more and made this single page layout. It turned out even better than what I had imagined. I often find it hard to work with browns and greens, but somehow this range with its pretty softer shades was so much better for me personally. And add some bling and you have a winning combination.

Products used: CO726846 Mini Hotfoil Stamp – Gentlemans Emporium -Gentlemans Centrepiece, CO726823 Paper – 12 x 12in – Gentlemans Emporium, CO726819 Paper – 12 x 12in – Gentlemans Emporium, CO726063 Foil – Gold (Iridescent Triangular Pattern) – Heat activated , F CO721964 Foam Mounting Tape – Standard (12mm x 4m)

I used Mini Hotfoil Stamp – Gentlemans Emporium -Gentlemans Centrepiece to create some foiled elements used on the layout on either side of my photo.
I love this amazing foiled stamp – so versatile and pretty. Perfect for any project.
A collection of elements cut from the patterned paper and arranged to create a background for the photo to sit on. My layout is finished off with some pearls and ink splats. Some gold ink picks up on the gold foiled elements for repetition.
Until next time – live creatively Jowilna.

Kaisercraft Documented Layout with hints of colour by Jowilna Nolte

Hi everyone, Jowilna here on the blog today sharing a Documented layout with a hint of colour. I simply love this range but wanted to add a touch of colour.

I started off creating my mixed media inked background using re-inkers.
The effect left a hint of cream, yellow, a beautiful grey and even some blue and green colours visible once the ink had dried.

A variety of Collectables elements added the yellow tones and for the blue/green I added some scrunched up thread under my photo.
This multicoloured thread gave me the interest and hint of colour I craved.

A couple of coloured splats offers the accent colours support and makes for a nice detail.

Mini Typography stenciled detail works well on the background. I could have added the stenciled details in a colour come to think of it.
It just shows you how versatile this range is – perfect for everyday moments, school days, vintage, heritage and boys.
