This month I used one of the new Celebr8 seamless stencils as a product focus. The stencil is gorgeous and delicate with lots of spunk. And once you start working with it, you really can’t stop – it is simply exquisite! For this quick sampler I used a piece of printed paper and then added my stencil design to the right of it with some quick stamping and a Silhouette word cut and painted to the left.
step 1 – take two of the stencils together on a piece of cardstock using washi tape.
step 2 – Use a blending tool and dye ink and blend over your stencils.
step 3 – Remove the stencil to reveal a beautiful double border effect. Perfect for cards and layouts.
step 4 – Place the taped stencil as is back onto a piece of cardstock. I used a piece that had some paint on it already. Mist over the stencils using a bright pink mist.
step 5 – Remove the stencil to reveal a beautiful double pattern perfect for your art journal.
step 6 – While the stencil is still wet, flip it over and use it to stamp onto a card.
I never throw away experiments of worked on scrap sheets. These become perfect backgrounds for cards and die-cut elements on your layouts. I love the messy, grunge and layered look you can achieve by simply having fun.
