I love Project Life Scrapbooking – when i first heard about it i was totally sold on it. It just makes so much sense.
It has taken years to convey my passion for it, and to ignite the fire in others, but I happy to say I have manged to do it!
But why? For some one like me the everyday little things really are the big thing – and simply put thats why.
It’s not about the huge things, the dressed up special occasions where you compete with the Jones’s. It’s the real hard core good, bad and ugly things that count.
And those are memories that we all have. Its the dressed up fake lets pose for a happy family photo that doesn’t make sense. But this, this is what its really like in my life.
Its the story that when someone looks at my album, they can relate to me, know the real me – not the one that puts on a brave face everyday to portray something false to the world.
Yes its raw, and maybe a bit too honest for some people, but its real. Its where my hopes and dreams and special moments are captured right alongside the sadness of real life.
Each month I do a project life class at Short Cuts craft, and each month I see how more and more people get it – how you can add loads of photos into an album,
But where you also have permission to tell the real life behind the masks (scenes) stories of your heart.
My story matters if only to me – that’s all that counts. And this is the way I love telling it.
Will it ever replace my normal scrapping – heck no – its an extension of my art and memory keeping – and I love it all!
