I created this faith based art journaling page for a class in Bloemfontein at the beautiful Scrapaway. This was a special page with a beautiful message
and at the time a message that was meant for me, and so many other people.
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” Matthew 6:25-26 (NIV)

i started off by creating the base using yellow dylusions paint applied using a make-up sponge and blended across both pages.

I added layers and layers of colour applied with a brayer. Each colour is layered over another leaving each colour to dry in between for a bit.

Stenciling added in black dylusions added with a foam applicator. White highlights were added once the paint was dry using a Gelly Roll white gel pen.
The sparrow is a PSX stamp image stamped onto white tissue paper and then applied using gel medium. I could flip the same stamped image by stamping it onto the tissue paper
and adding it. A clever way of utilizing your stamps in different ways.

A few stenciled circles using chalk ink was added and then highlighted using my white gel pen.
The sparrow wording was stamped using Making Memories foam stamps and black dylusions paint. The wording was printed and added to my page, and then some graphite pencil
shading added. Background stamping was done using my Versafine Smokey grey ink pad and a Chiswick stamp.

I love the texture added by the brayering of the paint onto the pages. The layers and colours created are truly amazing.
and the message of this page really special and so true.
Thanks for stopping by!
