Today on the Chiswick blog I am sharing a quick card using one of my favourite stamps from the Chiswick range.
It also happens to be the perfect stamp to say goodbye to 2016 and hello to 2017 ….tell me when you spot it….

Upon closer inspection the stamp revealed that it does say 2017 but a bit scrambled up – 1720.
So for me personally it is quite significant – 2017 is going to be a good good year!
This quick card is perfect for a someone special – wishing them a good end to 2016 but an even greater 2017.
step 1 – Tape a folded card to a piece of scrap paper using washi tape.
I added the tape just over halfway and made sure it was straight.
Ink the top half of your card using your Chiswick dye inks and a sponge applicator.

step 2 – Add some water splatters to the dye inked portion and leave to dry. The water reacts with the ink and causes a beautiful effect.

step 3 – Carefully peel off the washi tape from the inked card.

step 4 – Stamp the Chiswick stamp onto the bottom portion of the card using a grey ink.

Decorate the stamped card using a pre-printed acetate card sewn to the top half of your card and some cut flowers.

And there you have a gorgeous end of the year card – celebrating the new year pretty in pink.
What are your hopes and dreams for the coming year?
Here’s wishing you many more stamped cards and stamped projects with lots of inking goodness.
